Fall Photoshoot

Tuesday, November 16, 2010

Mom has a bunch of great pumpkins every year, and we had just gotten a bag of adorable clothes from Erin (thanks!) so of course the stars were aligned for another photo shoot, and then another and another. I think we got some really good ones of everyone involved! They got all mixed up, so don't expect any order. Also, I apparently have no filter so there are a lot!

Love to all.

Thanksgiving Monday

After the funeral there was even more family time to be had. And more pictures of course.

We started with a sing along.

Which led to dancing.

And general tom-foolery. Why be normal?

Arm wrestling tournament then ensued...I don't know who won in the end, but I think everyone had fun.

What does a kitchen look like when there are that many families in a house? Well, first we line up the babies and just pour food across their trays. I think at one point there were four of these highchairs in the kitchen. The noise level can get pretty intense sometimes.

Love to all.

Thanksgiving Sunday

Thanksgiving was full of family and friends. My parents had a full house as people were stopping for food, laughs, and to give their condolences as it was the day before Ricky's funeral. That Sunday, my parents had around 60 people go through their house at one time or another. I am thankful for FAMILY!! Get ready for pictures.

Waiting in line for some Turkey, Olivia - Brinley - Madelyn

Why so serious Beth?

Jen and Justin having a chat, and I think Easton's hiding in there too.

Eli and Dylan. Eli has changed so much since the last time I saw him, I feel old.

Gettin' funky, Brin and Mad. Niece and Aunt...crazy eh?

Oh Zara, don't pretend like you're going to eat anything by wearing that bib for the picture. We all know it's just for show ;) .

Not my greatest picture, but this picture reminded me of how Sarah could make that look like the snazziest cast in the history of mankind. Also, well done on matching your shirts Ray and Sarah.

My uncle David and aunt Jeannie. Yes, he may look like my Dad's brother, but really he's Scottish...don't believe me? Ask him about some grapefruit!

Rowan on the black tingey, which is not technically the bricks (which you're not allowed on as they surround the wood burning stove).

Kelly, focusing really hard on something...you'll have to ask her I guess.

My absolute favourite of the bunch. Ravyn had Tyler in an indefensible position. My favourite thing though, is that she is focusing so hard and somewhat enjoying it!

I just thought this picture did the best to capture how many people were in the house. People were everywhere!

Time to wrestle on the tramp, and MATCH!

Olivia was by far the fiercest one out there, don't let her beauty fool you.

My Mom with two of her sisters, Pam and Cheryl.

Grandpa and Gram. She was surprised we got her on film she (like all celebrities) believed that the sunglasses hid her identity.

Crazy Rosy

Rosy had a hard core play time with Kingston and had a lot of fun. When Kingston comes over there isn't any time for a nap, but that means we get plenty tired by the time afternoon nap time comes along. Rosy fell asleep in her highchair for the first time and I thought it was just the cutest thing ever. No wonder everyone has 1 or 10 pictures of their kids in this exact pose!

One night Spencer and I decided to spoil ourselves with some Tim Tams after Rosalin went to bed. The next morning after Rosalin had woken up, we realized that she was being awfully quiet in the kitchen. We got up to investigate and realized that she had several Tim Tams in her hands and in true toddler fashion she just started eating faster once she was caught. It was hilarious!!

Rosalin has also started her climbing phase, and her first major feat was the couch in our living room. She was quite pleased with herself in getting up there and decided to have a little chillax. That's how we all sit on the couch right? Way to go Ros!

Love to all.

Catch up

It's been a very long time since I've blogged and a lot has happened as you all know. A speedy trip back to Canada was unexpected but we were so happy to see all of our family again even for just a short while. With only just over a month left in Australia, we're really starting to feel the crunch of fitting in everything we want to while we're here. Somewhere on that list for me is to get a tan...I don't even know if Oz can tan me ;(  Going through pictures, there aren't tonnes to show you, but I'll do my best at catching up on everything we've missed. Love to all.
